Hey, that was a killer Kinky Friedman show last night!

This Monday Shad Cobb and I will play duets at the Hideout. I'm extra excited because Shad and I don't play as a twosome all that much, nor does he make it to Chicago frequently. If you live outside Illinois and have come to see me play in the last 4 years, chances are you've seen him too and know that he's one of the most amazing country fiddlers alive. Also a good banjoist, mandolinist, guitarist, singer, writer -- in short, fuck him! This show will be pretty off-script; I imagine we'll do some stuff from my records, some fiddle tunes, some old songs we love, a few he wrote...but who knows what we'll do till we do it.
