this monday at the hideout

It's The Scavengers. A more-or-less yearly event with K.C. McDonough, Gerald Dowd, Robbie Gjersoe, and me. Each of us multitasks instrumentally, and each picks tunes he's itching to play but never has. The result is generally like a human jukebox of hipster obscurities. This Monday it looks like we'll be hitting music by Pedro Garces, Sonny Throckmorton, Thelonious Monk, Joe Jackson, John Scofield, and Carole King, among others.

Also, this is the last Hideout Monday until sometime in the fall, probably October. Just sayin'. See you there!
