this monday at the hideout

By Robbie on August 12, 2012

I finally get to play with my good old friend Liz Carroll, master of the Irish fiddle and a real swell composer too. First time for us both to try on each other's styles and to find some common ground. Don't expect too much outta me (especially if you're used to the standard set by her usual accompanist, John Doyle [!]), but by all means come hear what Liz can do, as I struggle to latch myself with some semblance of grace onto her locomotive. (Stay for the right-hand amputation after the performance!)

Robbie, I've loved you forever, your songs make me laugh and cry and sing along, and your guitar talent never ceases to amaze me. But tonight I found a youtube clip of your singing "Molly and Tenbrooks" that just blew me away. I've loved you for years, but tonight I love you times 100. Thank you!
