my amazing docudrama

By Robbie on June 6, 2010

Friends, there is a little piece, about 5 minutes long, about my new Michael Jackson cover record Happy up on youtube. If you go to the Robbie Fulks video channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/RobbieFulksVideo) you can partake of this Wild Strawberries-grade experience. I drone in my best community-school teacher's aide voice about the making of the record and Michael's legacy, as still pictures of my hot little body flit by and my twangy music pulsates in tandem. Not recommended for pregnant women, lumbago sufferers, or nearsighted pitchfork.com devotees.

    Hi Robbie,

I've been a long time fan and was looking forward to your new record. I really like and appreciate your devotion to honest and straight hearted music! But honestly, I have to say I had to get used to your new one. Although I appreciate it and I really admire the way you handled the Jackson songs, so maybe I'm growing to like it some day more.
I really am a big fan though of the older records like 'South Mouth', Country Love Songs' and '13 Hillbilly Giants', these are almost constantly in my car on the iPod.
So, honky tonk-on and hopefully we can see you live some time in The Netherlands or close by. (Any chance?)

    Take care !
