that's how i'll get to memphis...
...via St Louis, then home via Champaign. In the immortal words of Greg Lake: Come and see the show! I can't remember the last time I played in Memphis. Neither can the many citizens of Memphis who weren't at that show. Robbie Gjersoe and I bring our two-Robbie onslaught, our duo-with-no-do-overs, our fun-filled farrago of flatpicking, ribaldry, and weepy balladry, to the colorfully yclept Agricenter Friday night, where we are opening (wide) for Mr. Roy Clark, and then Saturday night to the beloved Hi-Tone, home of many backstage lewdnesses, pizza-and-cocaine contests, and spilled Pepsis.
On Thursday we'll be at the Off Broadway in St. Louis, still hanging tenaciously on in its questionable neighborhood even as better situated clubs around it fall like Billy Ward's Dominoes. And Sunday at Cowboy Monkey in Champaign! If this is a little too convoluted in prose, check it out in terse data-point form, on the "tour date" sidebar just to the right.

Hey, it's the legendary Beatle Bob!
Robbie,
Please don't cut your set short tonight just because you're wondering if your van will still be there when you're finished.
Robbie,
Thanks for the great show Saturday night at the Hi-Tone. It was the first time I've seen just you and Robbie Gjersoe. I thoroughly enjoyed it and left without saying thanks since I rambled about John Conlee for 20 minutes the last time I got your ear.
Alan
Saw you Friday night in Memphis. You two were phenomenal.
Could not have enjoyed it more. Ol' Roy can still bring it in brief spurts. Fun night. Thanks.
You didn't do White Man's Bourbon in the show...you didn't perform it in the coffee shop after the show. You didn't even ask us to join you at your table in the back. Sheesh!
And still a great time was had by all. Berkeley loves the two Robbies!
